For this group university project, I led the creation of the hero graphic for the Liverpool Women’s Health Exhibition: Giving “Voice” Celebrating the History of the Liverpool Women’s Health Centre. Using Adobe Illustrator, I developed a series of organic vector forms that visually express the idea of “voice” through repetition, variation, and layered shapes. The flowing, imperfect line work and bold colour contrasts were intentionally chosen to reflect individuality, strength, and collective presence, while working within the Centre’s established colour palette. A vector-based approach allowed the artwork to remain flexible and scalable across exhibition applications. Throughout the project, I worked closely with my university team, refining the design through discussion and critique, while also presenting progress updates to the client to ensure the final hero image stayed aligned with the exhibition’s vision and narrative.
The hero graphic was adapted across the web mockups and the Liverpool Women’s Health Centre website to ensure a strong and cohesive digital presence. Designed with scalability in mind, the vector artwork translated seamlessly across screen sizes, maintaining clarity, colour integrity, and visual impact. Its placement within the web layouts helped anchor the exhibition content, drawing attention while supporting accessibility and ease of navigation. The result was a bold yet welcoming digital extension of the exhibition that reinforced the theme of Giving Voice within an online context.
